The restaurant
At Auberge aux 4 Vents – whether in the restaurant overlooking the park, on the terrace that extends from it, or in one of our warm reception rooms – we take pride in offering you an unforgettable culinary experience.
Our cuisine is both innovative and rooted in tradition, showcasing high-quality local products. We carefully select fresh, seasonal ingredients to serve you authentic, flavorful, and healthy dishes.
Respect for the product, its origin, and its region is at the heart of our approach, aiming to delight your taste buds. In the dining room, the Les Oiseaux de Buffon wallpaper is a work by Jean-Damien Fleury.
Every Sunday, we serve a grand brunch buffet.

Les Oiseaux de Buffon
For the restaurant’s entrance wall, the artist from Fribourg, Jean-Damien Fleury, created a wallpaper populated with birds. The engravings depicting them come from the famous Histoire naturelle published in the 18th century by Georges-Louis Leclerc de Buffon, the first rational encyclopedia of the animal world.
Among the birds listed by the French naturalist, Fleury selected only those that have, over time, lived in the Fribourg region.
In light of today’s fragile biodiversity, the artist examined the conservation status of the species mentioned nearly three centuries ago by Buffon. The colored dots that appear like ornaments on the wallpaper reflect this status. Green: not threatened. Red: critically endangered. Black: extinct.
